How much a website costs in Morocco in 2026: a showcase site, a store, and everything people forget

“How much does a website cost?” It is the first question I get, and the honest answer is: anywhere from 2,000 to more than 50,000 dirhams. That is not a dodge. Five pages built on a template and a custom site with online booking are not the same product, even if both are called “a website”.
This article gives the ranges actually charged in Morocco in 2026, what pushes a quote up or down, and the costs that arrive after launch. The figures come from the public price lists of Moroccan providers (agencies and freelancers), checked on 31 October 2026: orders of magnitude, not an official scale.
The ranges at a glance
- Showcase site built on a template (junior freelancer): about 2,000 to 5,000 MAD. The design is the theme’s, with your text and logo.
- Customised showcase site (experienced freelancer or small agency): about 4,000 to 10,000 MAD, for a few pages designed around your business.
- Custom site from an established agency: about 8,000 to 25,000 MAD, with a dedicated design, basic SEO and training.
- Online store: from 8,000 to 15,000 MAD, and over 50,000 MAD for a large catalogue or specific features.
On top of that, every year: the domain name (about 150 to 200 MAD excl. VAT for a .ma at an accredited registrar) and hosting (about 500 to 2,000 MAD depending on the plan). A Shopify store is paid monthly instead: 29 to 39 dollars for the first plan.
Why the same “showcase site” can cost 3,000 or 30,000 MAD
Five things make the difference, far more than the number of pages.
- Template or design. A bought theme is filled in a few days. A site designed around the one action that matters (call, book, order) first requires understanding your customers, then drawing the pages.
- Features. Booking, several languages (Arabic, French, English), a customer area, payment: each one adds work and testing.
- Who writes the copy. If you provide it, the price drops. Writing it, and writing it for Google, is real work that low quotes rarely count.
- SEO. Titles, descriptions, speed, Google listing, structured data: included by some, missing with others. It decides whether the site brings clients or stays a business card.
- What happens after. Fixes, updates, being able to edit your own text: a low price can hide total dependence on the provider.
The costs people forget
- Renewing the domain name and the hosting, every year.
- Photos: free stock images reassure far less than your own.
- Subscriptions: Shopify, apps, booking or email tools, often billed in dollars.
- Maintaining a WordPress site: updates, backups, security.
- Changes after delivery, if the quote does not include them.
The trap of very cheap offers
A site for a few hundred dirhams exists. The problem is not the price, it is what gets left out. The three situations I meet most often when I take over these sites:
- The domain is in the provider’s name. The day you want to leave, your address is not yours. I covered it in who owns your website.
- No access. You cannot change anything without going back to them.
- A slow, invisible site. No SEO, heavy images: the site exists, but nobody finds it.
Comparing two quotes in six questions
- Is the scope written down: number of pages, features, languages?
- Who writes the copy, and is it written for Google searches?
- Will the domain name and the access be in my name?
- What is the timeline, and what happens if it slips?
- What is included after launch: fixes, training, support?
- Is basic SEO (titles, speed, Google listing) included?
Two quotes that answer these six questions the same way can be compared. Otherwise, the price gap is almost always explained by what the cheaper one leaves out.
The rule: ask for a written scope and a fixed price. A “from” price with no scope almost always ends up costing more than planned.
How I set a price
I do not publish a price list, because a clinic website and a 200-product store have nothing in common. You send a brief, and within 24 hours you get a written reply with the scope, the timeline and a fixed price. The domain and the access are in your name, and you edit your own text afterwards.
What next?
A fixed price for your site, within 24 hours
The full process is on the website design page, and examples on the showcase websites page.

How it works
From one link to a site that brings clients.
One link and one line on what isn't working. No call needed to start.
Within 24 hours: the three things I would change first, the scope, the timeline and a price.
New pages around the action you want, a clickable version to test, then development.
Online, Search Console set up, Google Business linked, and the first pages written for real searches.
